PebbleDesk is built for licensed childcare centers that need ratio tracking, subsidy billing, and audit-ready records — without rebuilding those records by hand every week. The product is designed around the reality of a director who manages compliance, staffing, and billing from one desk, usually without a dedicated admin team.

Background

The problem we saw

Provider participation in the CCDF subsidy program fell from 475,394 in 2006 to 225,204 in 2022. The main drag is paperwork: attendance logs in one place, billing notes in another, licensing records somewhere else.

Most software optimized for the parent experience. Directors were still reconciling by hand before every claim. PebbleDesk is built the other way — starting from the director's desk, not the parent's phone.
